In US
Freshmanrefers a student in the first year at high school, college, or university. InBritish English, it also called “fresher (Informal)”.
Junior refers to a person who is younger or of low or lower rank. Student of the third year in a four-year course at college or university is also called as “junior”.
E.g. She is junior to me.
Senior refers to someone is older or of high or higher rank. Student of the last year in a university course is called as “senior”.
E.g.-Gloria is my cousin, and she is my senior by four years.
Gloria
E.g.–Though he is younger, he is senior to me.
